I took a survey on what people view on what love is and I must confess, I wasn’t astonished at the opinions I got as feedbacks. And these were the responses I got

God is love, Love is a who and not what, Love is putting other people before you, love is an emotional feeling and one last person that didn’t believe love existed due to experiences. We all have perspective to which we see things which is highly acceptable. But when our perspective is faulty, our seeing is blur. Yes, personal experiences build mind set in and for us, like laying a foundation for a building. One constant factor that experiences can’t alter is the LOVE of GOD.

As cliché as it may sound; John3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This passage doesn’t explain the intensity of the love rather its explains the way the love was demonstrated. But John3”16 should be corroborated with 1John3:16 which is the perfect explanation for the demonstration of the love of God. “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”

So, we can deduce that real love is what God demonstrated in and through what Christ did for us. The statement “God is love” can be explained from Galatians5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Love is a fruit of my born-again spirit. i.e. love is a fruit of Gods spirit that’s inside of us, love is not an emotion therefore, I can love anyone and everyone because I have Gods spirit.

The perfect permanent characteristics of God is love. If God doesn’t Change; his love won’t reduce or increase in size, its not moved by time, space, season. It doesn’t change mode or shape. Lol. Anyone who has a clear understanding of Love would definitely understand purpose (coming next).

I know people have abused the word it feels like a line to get pass correction or a thick argument or things of that nature. The love you have towards your colleagues at work, family, friend, and acquaintance is the same love you have towards your partner except the defiled bed in marriage and the chemistry.  Quick explanation; chemistry or attraction is a key in relationship or marriage but its not the definition of love. It can lead to but the initial “ginger” isn’t love it’s just an attraction. Understand that “sex” in marriage is the only thing that differentiate the love you have for your spouse and the love you have for your sister or father.

Here’s my conclusion/ opinion on what love is… love is God predestining Christ to be a saviour because he wanted heaven with me and not without me. Its not an emotional, goose bumps sensation or a tingling down my spine… it’s a fruit of who I am- a spirit being. We cannot claim to know Christ if we refuse to love with the same intensity with which he loved us.

Have a fun filled week basking in the intensity of the love of the father.

Hey guys, I’m back. Was a very long break indeed. Just had to do some restructuring.

Today, I would be sharing with you what I titled “I am Led”.

Romans 8:14; For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Galatians 4:6; Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”

Galatians 4:6 best explains Romans 8:14. I am not a daughter or son because I am led; I am a daughter or son that’s why the Spirit leads me. A quick illustration: I am not a Senator in the Nigerian House of Assembly because I have body guards; but as a Senator in the Nigerian House of Assembly I have access to body guards.

How to be Led

  1. Prayer: we are led when we pray. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
  2. Listen: we have to learn to listen to the Holy Spirit. And you can only listen when you are quiet on the inside. This leads me to the next point
  3. Stop worrying: Math6:25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Worrying disrupts you from be quiet in your spirit man and affects your prayers effectiveness. To be led you need to stop worrying.

After all said and done; I want you to say this words out loud and if possible make it a thing every day till you get used to it.

I am a daughter or son of God; therefore, I am led by the Spirit,

I’ve been adopted to be a daughter or son; therefore, I do not work in or according to the flesh

I walk in line with the leading of Gods Spirit at work in me

Because I have his Spirit in me I can cry Abba Father and God is my inheritance.

I am directed, I am never confused.

I know what to do, where to be, what to say at the right time.

The Holy Spirit lives on my inside and so I’m led forever. Glory to God!!!!!!!!

So last week, we established that God loves us and he displayed this love through the death of his son. Romans 5:7-8. This week, I would be explaining faith in the operation of God.

First what is the operation of God? It is simply the finished work of Christ, i.e. what God did for me in Christ which is SALVATION! In Genesis we were told of how sin came into the world and how death was passed unto all men through Adams fall. Rom5:18-19.  Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right.” So faith in the operation of God involves believing the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Eph1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Rom5:7-8 “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” 1Jh3:16a. “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:”

The proof of his death is his burial.

Colo2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”

His burial is a pointer or signifier of the death of Christ.

Eph1:18-20. My emphasis is on verse 20; “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”

The benefits of this resurrection for us are:

  1. We are justified
  2. We have authority. Eph1:10-21 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:”
  3. The assurance of salvation.
  4. We have the Holy Spirit. Eph1:13-14. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

In summary, faith in the operation of God is me believing that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ is for my benefit; which is salvation. So I’m no longer worried about making heaven or sin holding me down. Why? Because Romans 6:11 says “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Ephesians 2:4-6 also saysBut God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;). And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” so I can boldly say, “WHAT HE DID NOTHING CAN UNDO, I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. WHEN HE DIED; I DIED, WHEN HE ROSE; I ROSE, AND I’M SEATED IN HIM AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER. BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN WHAT GOD DID FOR ME IN CHRIST, MY OLD MAN IS GONE AND I’M A NEW MAN IN CHRIST; FORGIVEN AND REDEEMED. CHRIST IS IN ME AND I AM IN CHRIST.”

The New Man

Hey guys.

Welcome to “the led woman” page. This promises to be fun as we become one happy family by expounding the truth of the word of God. The fact that its “the led woman” doesn’t mean men aren’t allowed to read and subscribe. Basically, we would be discussing real life issues the Bible way.

To the topic of today; The New Man. I know most of us have an idea of what the phrase means and most of us have been misinformed to. A man I respect so much once said “its better for you to be ignorant than misguided”. So to this end, we would be starting from the scratch, no assumption.

I would love to explain the new man through a story, not so it can appeal to our emotions but for us to see the light. There was a man who was regarded as powerful, wicked, and always in a bad mood. Everyone feared him even his children couldn’t go to him for a normal conversation. Like all of them had to tell their desires to his personal assistant who might eventually not make it back because of the boss’ angry mood. But the reality was that the man loved his children and wanted to have a normal father children relationship with them, but every time he tried to show the love, they would have been tired of waiting so coincidentally they turn their backs.

One time he saved them from death and suffering, the next minute they turned their backs on him. Another time he saved them again, they were eagerly waiting for the wrath of their father. He was tired of all the blood sheds they did to appease him. He couldn’t hold it against them. They had a regulation of don’ts. It was a difficult life for them and he tried to make amends.

Finally, he found a solution. The would just let go of one his children and everything would be fine. The firstborn of all. His love and care would not be misinterpreted again, they would understand the “how” of his love. They did not believe him still, like you this wicked man, in this day and age; you want to kill your first child for the sake of your other children; what a scam.

But in the end, the firstborn still died, but he sacrificed himself willingly because he loved his other siblings and wanted them to have access to their father too; just like how he does. Did I ever mention ton you that the firstborn was the fathers right hand man? They were that close, but the other children just did not get the connection.

So much sorrow because the siblings lost their elder brother, the always perceived angry father was so emotional he couldn’t stand to watch his son being killed, he fled the scene. After all, said and done; the son died, and everyone thought it was the end. They buried him and departed to mourn. At that point; things had begun to change but it wasn’t made perfect yet. They started understanding “how” of the love of their father, that he tried so much to make them understand in time past.

To be continued.
